The issue of police officers’ use of deadly force has become source of significant tension in society as well in political realms. The instructor offers a discussion of civil rights statutes, police use of force and the Black Lives Matter movement. In particular, under the circumstances of the law, some struggle to understand why it appears black lives do not matter. However, an analysis of police use of force, the Fourth amendment and the civil rights statutes provide some interesting analysis in this regard.

He has an abiding commitment to the constitution, civil rights and understanding law enforcement impacts on the community.
